• I downloaded the app and the app store says it's installed, but I can't find the icon.

This is not an app problem, and sometimes happens with certain devices.  Power down your device and then power it back up. The app icon should now be visible.

• Can additional central banks be added?

Yes.  Send an email to  Support with the bank's RSS feed you think should be included, with a reason why, and it will be considered for addition.

• Why is ... country's bank not included?

The decision on which banks to include was determined by whether each bank provides an RSS feed available in English, and their influence on the world economic stage.  The Bank of England has recently changed the software that produces its RSS feed, and this provides a different address for the feed on a daily basis.  This effectively makes it useless.  The Bank of England will be included again when it provides a reliable RSS feed.

• Which mobile devices are supported?

The iOS application is universal and will run on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.   If you are using an iPhone or iPod Touch, the news releases will view better in landscape orientation.  The Android version will run on any device running Android version 2.1 or later, including tablets.

• Why do I get a message that says "No connection to the server."?

If you get this message intermittently, it's probably caused by a network glitch or a busy server.  Restarting the app will usually fix it, although you may have to wait a couple of minutes.  If you get this message all the time, your device is probably behind a firewall or connecting through a proxy server or VPN that filters data from the internet.  You will then need to try and establish a clean connection.

• Why won't my Android device display pdf files?

Unlike iOS devices, which can display pdf files natively, Android devices require that a third-party pdf viewer be installed to show pdf files or web pages.  If you download and install Adobe's Reader, or an alternative, your device will display central bank pages which are in pdf format.

• How do I enable or disable individual bank feeds?

On the iOS platform, the selection of which feeds to include is made from the "Settings" application.  Touch Settings, then scroll down to Central Banks in the applications section and enable or disable any of the feeds.  On Android, press the menu button while on the opening screen and make your selection there.
